Cold water and wind change your ears over time
Repeated exposure to cold water and wind causes surfer's ear (exostosis), a gradual bony narrowing of the ear canal. It builds over years without symptoms, and by the time it traps water and affects hearing, the usual answer is surgery. Trapped water is also where swimmer's ear (otitis externa) starts - the infection that ends far more training weeks than anyone plans for.
Keeping cold water and wind out of the ear canal is how you prevent both. SEAR Plugs do exactly that, without taking your session away from you.

Do SEAR Plugs prevent surfer's ear?
Yes. Surfer's ear (exostosis) is bone growth in the ear canal caused by cold water and wind reaching it session after session. SEAR Plugs keep both out, which removes the cause. Wear them every session. If you already have symptoms, see a doctor.
How many decibels do they block? Is it 9 dB?
